Yes, Complimentary consultations are available when you book a service the same day.

Do you offer kids cuts?
Yes, I love styling my littlest clients, texturized, coily, or curly! Children's haircuts are available, and I approach each child with patience, intention and education. Especially for textured hair that needs more than a haircut. Dry cuts are available however if child needs more an upgrade to new client package will be charged accordingly.

Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, indeed all new clients start with the New Client Welcome Package.  It sets the tone for a caring, hair-focused relationship. From your first visit, I help you reset your crown, decode your curl pattern, and build a healthy relationship with your natural hair whether you wear it curly or blown out.

Do you do bridal hair?
Yes, bridal services are one of my specialties. Packages begin at $500 and include in salon prep, intentional design planning, and on-site styling. Your crown will be styled with elegance, ease, and peace.

What qualifications does Kristy Hyde have to care for coily, kinky and textured hair?
I didn't just study curls, I live them. Raised in the sea islands and shaped by Gullah culture. I learned braid styles, locs, and natural extension techniques from cultures different from my own. I've been professionally licensed for 21 years while I've been doing hair since I was a little girl and have served a diverse range of textures long before textured hair care became mainstream.

What inspired you to specialize in curls?
As a teen and up I wore braids, sew-ins, and slicked back ponytails for weeks at a time because I didn't know how to handle my own hair out. Eventually, I cut it all off just to start over. What I really needed was education, not a new style. Once I became a professional, I saw the gap in salons spaces. I never found a salon I truly felt I or my clients were seen in, so I built one. I stopped performing for industry expectations and started leading with purpose. That shift led to the birth of Carolina Curl Decode  a coaching based salon experience rooted in intention, care, and real curl results.
